Welcome to Professor Rowan Thomson's Homepage!
I am a Canada Research Chair and Professor in the in the Department of Physics at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. I am also Associate Dean (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) in the Faculty of Science.
My research program involves the development and application of computational techniques and theoretical approaches to study the interactions of radiation with matter, with an emphasis on research questions relevant to radiation therapy treatments for cancer. I am a member of the Carleton Laboratory for Radiotherapy Physics and Ottawa Medical Physics Institute. I invite you to explore my web pages to find out more about my research and publications, as well as links related to my teaching and advancement of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
