Physics SocietyThe Carleton University Physics Society provides a way for undergraduate and graduate students to get involved with the department, by meeting other students and taking part in various seminars, trips and activities that the society and department run. In past years, some of these events have included:
The society also has its own room where students are welcome to make use of the available textbooks, discuss assignments... or play cards, sleep on the couches, and use the microwave. The room is HP 2221, and should be open most times of day. If you're interested in joining the society, you can visit their website. Membership gives you the opportunity to attend many events at a lower price than non-members.
