Carleton Students presented at CUPC 2015

From Oct. 22nd to 25th, five Carleton Physics students attended the 2015 Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC) hosted by Trent University (Peterborough, ON). Three students showcased their research done at Carleton in the past summer:  

  • Evaluation of a Flat-Panel X-ray Detector for Scatter Imaging and Dual-Energy Radiography, by Joey Carter

  • sTGC Testing at Carleton University for the ATLAS NSW Upgrade, by Robert Hunter

  • ATLAS sTGC Quality Control, by Steven Lee

 In additional to the scientific presentations, the students enjoyed Plenary Lectures by world leading physicists, a Laboratory tours at Trent University, and Career & Graduate Studies Fair. This trip was financially supported by the Carleton University Physics Department and Carleton University Student Activity Fund.
